After reviewing the entries, preliminary assessments and discussion on the submitted entries, the jury selected the winners. This year's deliberations were held remotely, and the jury judged entries marked only by the project number assigned by the system. This way full anonymity of the creators and the objectivity of the decisions were preserved. The winners of the contest and their entries are presented below.
The first place in this year's edition went to Dominika Sonik, author of the “MARONE love” design, which features FertigDeska Chevron Oak Color Marone.
The author's description of the project: Living room interior using Oak plank Marone. Despite concerns that dark flooring is demanding and more difficult to maintain, the effect you get more than captures the charm and aesthetics of the entire space. It also brilliantly proves that it's not just bright plank colours that are beautifSt.
The competition entry was additionally appreciated by the jury for a particularly faithful representation of the design in the finished project and for the consistency in maintaining the design assumptions.
Katarzyna Cichoń ranked second with her design called “NIBYdywan” (Like a Carpet) in which she used FertigDeska Walnut Elegance, FertigParquet Chevron Oak Color Avorio and FertigDeska Oak Color Avorio.
The author's description of the project: The visuals present interior of a living room combined with a dining room and kitchenette. The interior was designed using the new elegance style. The dominant role in the interior is played by wood, which warms up the interior through its colour and texture. The main element of the interior is the “carpet” created from the parquet floor. The pattern created with three Jawor- Parkiet products is the main element dominating the interior. Completed with gold skirting boards, it is an interesting alternative to classic carpets, while also maintaining the functionality dedicated to floorboards.
The jury appreciated this competition entry for particularly interesting use of wood flooring in interior design, original selection of products and a coherent composition.
The third place was taken by Ewelina Trędkiewicz, the author of the design called “Brushed Onyx Apartment”, in which she used FertigDeska Luxury Onyx Retro Oak.
The author's description of the project: The bedroom design Brushed Onyx uses raw and natural textures to complement the dark and brushed texture of the Retro Onyx plank. The climate and colour scheme of the interior refers to the mountainous area where the suite is located. The design includes using wastage from floor laying and making decorative wall panels out of it. Wall planks laid in herringbone pattern combined with metal sheets create an industrial and presentable bedroom setting.
The jury appreciated the entry for its coherent interior composition, original choice of finishing materials and interesting use of wooden floor.
The jury also awarded four honourable mentions.
The first one was awarded to Małgorzata Olbrycht for the design called “Colourful living room in a tenement house” using FertigParquet Oak Classic.
The author's description of the project: A living room in a stylish tenement house with strong, eye-catching colours. Designer accessories and modern furniture add a new dimension to the interior, while enhancing its classic beauty.
The second award went to Anastasiia Blavitska for the design called “Place of Freedom”, which featured FertigParquet Chevron Oak Color Nero.
The author's description of the project: Eclectic style refers to the atmosphere, and it is very casual. There is peace and harmony here.
Marta Bagińska received another honourable mention for the design called “Living room in a tenement house at a historic street” using FertigParquet Chevron Oak Antique.
The author's description of the project: Elegance is the first thing that comes to mind when looking at this living room space. Such interiors are rare. Here the choice of design style was influenced by its history. A tenement house without a wood floor would not have the spirit of the past. This brought back memories of this place.
The last award went to Ewelina Trędkiewicz for the design called “Sea Breeze Apartment”, in which FertigDeska DesignExperience Oak Color Caldo was used.
The author's description of the project: The interior of the Sea Breeze suite located on the coast of the Baltic Sea is a design inspired by nature and coastal landscape. Minimalist and organic forms in light and neutral tones are a continuation of the sandy beach and rocky cliff that spread outward and penetrate inward through high glazing. The diversified and geometric floor layout, which visually separates the living zone and creates a kind of grey-beige chequerboard adds character to the place. In this interior, the power and beauty of nature meets sublime elegance, creating a harmonious and pleasant space.
