“Wood is good” – sustainability as the theme of the Real Wood's latest campaign

Real Wood is an initiative of the FEP (European Parquet Manufacturers) association, to which Jawor-Parkiet also belongs. In its latest campaign, it shows in a simple and accessible way why choosing wooden floors is part of a sustainable development policy.

As part of its activities, the FEP association of European parquet manufacturers, national parquet associations and suppliers to the industry has set up the Real Wood initiative. Its main task is to represent the interests of the parquet industry, which it does, among other things, through information campaigns and education. It draws attention to the environmental aspects of wood and wood flooring and presents the actions the industry is taking for the climate, environment and its resources. Among other things, it points out that wood is fully recyclable, can be reused and ultimately converted into bioenergy. The production and processing of wood is extremely energy-efficient, so that wood products have an extremely favourable CO2 balance. Moreover, wood can often be used as a substitute for materials such as metal or plastics, the production of which requires significantly higher amounts of energy.

The Real Wood's latest campaign with the “Wood is Good” slogan emphasises the aspect of sustainability. It shows in a straightforward and clear way the advantages of wood flooring and helps to understand how much you can realistically reduce carbon dioxide emission into the environment by choosing natural wood floors. In addition to the video, a simple calculator on www.realwood.eu is an interesting addition to the educational campaign focused on sustainability. Just click on it to see how your choice of wood flooring can have a positive impact on the environment.
